Equipment, Club Fitting & Repair

At the Golf Performance Center we believe we offer the best fitting experience possible. Our award-winning club fitters utilize a state-of-the-art fitting studio, TrackMan® radar technology, and Titleist ProV1® premium balls. Our fittings always allow the golfer to experience turf interaction and witness their ball flight on our expansive range.

A club fitting helps match your equipment to the way you swing the club, and create the necessary ball flight for you to be successful. The purpose is simple: improve performance by making sure your clubs fit your motion instead of forcing you to compensate for poorly fit equipment.

At GPC, our fittings combine launch monitor data, player feedback, and expert analysis to evaluate your current clubs and identify better-performing options. The results may mean adjusting your existing equipment, replacing part of the set, or recommending a full bag replacement. The goal is to determine what equipment gives you the best chance to hit better shots and play your best golf.

Why Should You Get Fit?

Golf clubs are not one-size-fits-all. Shaft weight, flex profile, length, lie angle, loft, head design, and grip size all affect how the club performs. When those variables do not fit the player, the result can be inconsistent contact, poor distance control, difficult ball flight, or a shot pattern that is harder to manage.

A fitting helps identify whether your equipment is helping or hurting your performance. For some players, the gains come from better launch and spin. For others, the biggest improvement is tighter dispersion, better strike quality, or more consistent yardages throughout the bag.

A proper fitting can help improve:

  • Distance
  • Dispersion
  • Ball flight
  • Contact quality
  • Distance gapping

A fitting does not change your swing, but it can remove equipment variables that make the game harder than it needs to be.

When Should You Get Fit?

Everyone should get fit for golf clubs, regardless of skill level. You should consider a fitting when your clubs no longer match your swing or your performance goals.

Common reasons to get fit include:

  • You have never been fit for golf clubs
  • Your ball flight is inconsistent or difficult to control
  • You have made swing changes, and your current clubs no longer fit the motion
  • You want to buy new clubs and want them built correctly from the start
  • You have distance gaps or overlap in the bag
  • You want to compare your current clubs against newer equipment

A fitting does not mean you have to buy new clubs, sometimes an adjustment to the ones you already own is the key to your best game.

How Often Should You Get Fit?

Some golfers prefer to get fit annually to compare their clubs with the newest models, and ensure their equipment is performing at the highest level possible, and provide peace of mind for their game. All golfers should be fit at a minimum of every two to three years.

It is worth checking your equipment more often if:

  • You have made meaningful swing changes
  • Your speed has increased or decreased
  • Your play and practice have increased

The Fitting Process

Every fitting has the same objective: understand how your current equipment performs, identify what your swing and game need, and recommend specifications that improve performance.

1. Interview and Player Evaluation

The fitting begins with a conversation about your game and your equipment.

We discuss:

  • What clubs you currently play
  • What you like and dislike about them
  • Your typical ball flight and common misses
  • Your playing background and goals
  • Whether you are looking for a full bag fitting, a partial bag fitting, or a bag evaluation

This step gives context to the launch monitor data and helps direct the fitting toward the right solutions.

2. Equipment Testing and Performance Analysis

You begin by hitting your current clubs so we can establish a baseline. This gives us a clear view of how your equipment is performing now and what needs to improve.

We then test different combinations of:

  • Clubheads
  • Shafts
  • Loft and lie settings
  • Club length
  • Head weighting
  • Grip options

Throughout the session, we compare performance using launch monitor data and ball flight. We are not looking for a single good shot. We are looking for a combination that produces better patterns over repeated swings.

3. Club Recommendations

At the end of the fitting, we review the combinations that performed best and explain why. If new clubs are recommended, your fitter will provide a comprehensive fitting report that will contain all of the details of the recommended clubs so that you or our staff can order the correct clubs. In some instances, your current clubs can be altered in our club repair department. Improvements such as shaft replacements, length changes, grip replacements, or lie and loft adjustments are all possible without purchasing new equipment.

Fitting Options

Full Bag Fitting

A full bag fitting is the most complete evaluation of your equipment. It is designed to rebuild your bag from the ground up to transform your golf game. A full bag fitting is great for a player who is ready to get their first set of fitted clubs or an experienced player looking to upgrade with new equipment.

A full bag fitting typically works through the bag, often starting with irons and then moving to the driver, fairway woods, hybrids, wedges, and putter as needed. The goal is to fit each category properly and make sure the bag has consistent distance gapping, ball flight, and overall performance.

Partial Bag Fitting

A partial bag fitting focuses on one part of the bag or one specific problem. This option works well if you already know where your game needs improvement.

Examples of a partial bag fitting:

  • Driver
  • Fairway woods
  • Irons
  • Wedges
  • Putter

Bag Evaluation

A bag evaluation is a starting point for players who are not sure whether they need a full bag fitting, a partial bag fitting, or simple adjustments to their current clubs. This can be a great way to understand the fitting process in person or just have a conversation with our knowledgeable club fitters about your game and equipment.

Club Repair & Adjustments

Not every equipment issue requires a new club. In many cases, the right repair or adjustment can improve performance and extend the life of your current set.

If your clubs generally fit well but need maintenance or minor changes, we offer a range of repair and adjustment services to keep your equipment performing at its best. When your goal is to improve your current clubs rather than replace them, your fitting professional may recommend club repair services.

Our club repair services include:

  • Regripping
  • Grip Size Recommendations
  • Shaft Length Adjustments
  • Re-shafting and Re-Epoxy Work
  • Iron and Wedge Loft/Lie Adjustments
  • Putter Loft/Lie Adjustments

Whether you need a simple grip replacement or a more comprehensive repair, our club repair technicians can keep your equipment performing at its best and help improve your game.
